MEGHAN Markle’s best friend Misha Nonoo has revealed her heartbreak after becoming a first-time mum during the coronavirus pandemic.

In an emotional video, the New York-based fashion designer opened up about the challenges she’s facing after giving birth to her son during the global health crisis and admitted it “has been a lot to say the least”.

Misha Nonoo, 35, has opened up about being a first-time mum during the coronavirus pandemic

In the video posted to her Instagram stories, the new mum, 35,  spoke of her son’s birth before admitting that nothing could prepare her for the role of motherhood.

She said: “Last time you heard from me, I was very pregnant, and I am excited to share that I am now the lucky mother to an adorable, healthy little boy.

“I thought that I had read every book and I was fully prepared for what it was going to look like to be a mum and to handle a newborn, but it turns out that I don’t think you’re ever fully prepared for that.

“But handling that on top of the coronavirus has been a lot to say the least,” she added.

Misha and her oil heir husband Mikey Hess, 33, welcomed their son Leo in March

Misha, who is married to oil heir Mikey Hess, 33, also expressed her gratitude and relief that her friends and family are all safe and healthy, and said her heart goes out to those who are on the frontlines, struggling with their health, or fearing for their loved ones.

Speaking to her 127k followers, the new mum went on to share the things she’s been doing to maintain a healthy state while practising social distancing with a new baby.

Admitting that social distancing can feel extremely isolating, Misha said: “I think it’s really important to maintain a routine.

“We’ve just got the baby on a schedule, very early, but never too early to be on a schedule I’ve realised.”

Misha is one of Meghan Markle’s closest friends

She shared some tips that have helped her cope and said that meditation, getting some sunshine and going for a walk have all helped her while in isolation.

She also said that having FaceTime moments with friends and family have been really helpful.

Misha first announced the birth of her son Leo in an Instagram post at the end of March.

She posed next to her husband Mikey while holding their new addition, revealing they had chosen to call him Leo.

It has been suggested that Misha was the one who set Meghan up with Harry on a blind date

According to the Daily Mail, Misha said: “Our lives have been forever changed.

“We love [him] more than we ever thought possible and cannot wait to share every adventure with [him].”

Misha is one of Meghan’s closest friends and attended both the Royal Wedding and her lavish New York baby shower in February last year.

Both Prince Harry and Meghan attended Misha and Mikey’s lavish Italian wedding in Rome last September.

Guest of honour Meghan was the only invitee to be asked to do a reading at the ceremony, opting to read The Vow by Roger McGough.

In their first joint interview on November 27, 2017 Meghan and Harry revealed they were set up by a female mutual friend.

Although they didn’t name names, Misha seems to be the likely suspect.

She and Meghan are pals, and the Suits actress even wore Misha Nonoo’s Easy 8 Husband Shirt, which costs £139, during her first public appearance with Harry – at the Invictus Games.

Misha also worked with Meghan on her SmartWorks collection last year.
