I’M A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here star Mike Tindall has let rip about Matt Hancock following the MP’s debut in the jungle.

The rugby ace, 44, branded former Health Secretary Matt a “bulls****er” after hearing his reason for taking part in the show.

The rugby star called Matt Hancock a ‘bulls***er’

Matt, 44, had told his campmates that he signed up to show the public that he is “more human” than the ‘common perception of strict politicians’.

But speaking to campmates Sue Cleaver and Boy George, Mike later gave his thoughts on Matt’s explanation.

Mike, who is married to the King’s niece Zara Tindall, said: “When he opened his mouth when he was asked why did he come here, all I heard was bulls***, bulls***, bulls***.”

Seconds earlier, Coronation Street’s Sue had remarked: “He sticks out like a sore thumb.”

Matt entered the jungle on Wednesday night alongside fellow newbie, comedian Seann Walsh.

Unbeknown to the other campmates, they have both been made moles and will be carrying out secret missions.

But while Seann was welcomed with open arms, Matt was not given such a warm reception from everyone.

Boy George broke down in tears in the Bush Telegraph after revealing his elderly mother was ill in hospital during the pandemic.

He had confided in Scarlette Douglas moments earlier, saying: “You know, the beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her. I thought she was going to die.

“I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, ‘Please look after my mum’. I used my name, I was like ‘Please look after my mum.’

“And they did, she was fine… I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.”

Boy George then admitted in the Telegraph that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to continue on I’m A Celebrity with Matt now in the camp.

ITV news anchor and Loose Women star Charlene White also took Matt to task while speaking to him in camp.

She told the MP: “I can imagine it would not have gone down well at all at home? You have to expect that. Because Parliament is still sitting, we’re not in recess, you know…”

He replied: “I genuinely think that because we’ve now got sort of stability that is…”

But Charlene wasn’t having it, and told him: “We’ve had stability for all of five minutes, Matt.”

Matt tried to dismiss her worries though, and said: “Rishi’s great, he’ll be fine.”

But Charlene pressed: “But you can understand if people aren’t very happy at home about it?”

Mike smirked as he listened to Matt giving his reasons for going on I’m A Celebrity
