VIEWERS of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee party were left complaining as Diana Ross took to the stage on Saturday night.
Fans who tuned in to BBC One’s coverage of the Party at the Palace took to social media to fume they couldn’t hear the headline act.
The Party at the Palace, which was thrown in honour of Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne, saw a number of music legends come together to perform outside Buckingham Palace.
Among them was former The Supremes singer Diana, 78, who headlined the show as the final performance of the night.
The Motown icon, who hadn’t performed in the UK for over 15 years, took to the stage in a stunning black and white ballgown.
The crowds outside the palace could be heard going wild as she performed a medley of her greatest hits from through the decades.

But viewers at home were left underwhelmed and frustrated as she live coverage made it appear that Diana’s mic had been turned down.
Dozens took to Twitter to complain that they “couldn’t hear” the I’m Coming Out singer as her microphone was “so quiet”.
“I can hardly hear Diana Ross. Just me or have the microphones been dodgy?” one kicked off the furious comments.
A second chimed in: “What’s happened to Diana Ross’s mic? Sack the sound engineer,” as a third agreed: “Turn the volume UP!”
“Could someone turn Diana Ross’ mic up – she can do some right belters and this is lame at the moment,” a fourth added.
As a fifth concluded: “Why is her microphone so quiet? Turn it up!”
Elsewhere, Geri Horner left Party at the Palace viewers cringing with an ‘intense’ message of thanks to the Queen.
The artist formerly known as Ginger Spice was one of a number of famous faces who sent a video tribute to the Monarch.
Wearing a white lace top and perfect hair and makeup, Geri, 49, remained wide-eyed as she spoke directly into the camera.
She said: “Our Queen, kind…loving…strong…serving our country, the Commonwealth, uniting us all together.
“Always putting others before yourself, you’re truly inspirational, inside and out, we thank you…we love you.”
However, her message was immediately mocked, with one fan writing on Twitter: “Geri sounded like she was speaking to her cult leader.”
A second tweeted: “Lord, Geri Horner, that was a bit intense.”
Meanwhile the show opened with a surprisingly sketch featuring the Queen herself as she hosted Paddington Bear for tea at Buckingham Palace.

After the bear made a bit of a mess, he then offered her a marmalade sandwich, but the Queen revealed she always keeps one in her handbag.
The pair were then seen tapping their spoons on their teacups in time to rock band Queen’s opening song We Will Rock You.
Live performances also included Craig David, Diversity and a musical medley from West End shows including Hamilton and Six.
