PETER Phillips’ pals fear his soon to be ex-wife Autumn will flee to Canada with their kids.

After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry fled royal life in Britain, his friends have spoken of concerns the Canadian national will do the same.

Mr Phillips, Princess Annes son and the brother of Zara Tindall, is to split from his Canadian wife, Autumn

Close friends are suggesting that Megxit Harry and Meghans departure from the UK to Canada could have hastened Autumns shock decision.

It is thought the daughters have dual Canadian citizenship which means they could easily live in Canada if Autumn were to return there.

A friend said: What worries some of us is that Autumn may want to go back to Canada.

Maybe she has been influenced by Harry and Meghans departure. Perhaps she thought if that can happen then I can leave as well? That might be unfair on her but you have to consider it.”

It comes afterHOAR revealed the marriage between Peter and his wife Autumn has come to an end.

The 41-year-old, toldPrincess Annes son, 42, she wants to split after 12 years of marriage.

Sports marketing consultant Peter, and Autumn, who is a management consultant, have two children Savannah, nine and Isla, seven.

One pal revealed: Peter is absolutely devastated by this and just didnt see it coming.

He thought he was happily married and had the perfect family with two lovely daughters. But he is now in total shock.

Autumn is a wonderful wife and mother and a very intelligent woman but shes been telling her friends for some time that there were issues.”

Peter met Autumn in 2003 at the Formula One Grand Prix in her home city of Montreal.

They were both working at the event, but the Canadian beauty had no idea he was the Queens grandson until she saw a picture of him on TV six weeks later.

She later revealed in an interview her mother told her: Oh, Autumn, what have you gotten yourself into.

This morning we told how Peter’ssplit from his wife is a “bombshell” for the Queen – after a string of bad news last year.

Her Majesty will be reeling still from a series of upsets, including Megxit and Prince Andrew’s Epstein scandal, a royal commentator has said.

Dickie Arbiter told Good Morning Britain: “The Queen will be upset about it, she’s always upset when something happens in the family.

“We had a raft of things last year – Prince Philips car crash, the Duke of York’s car crash interview, Harry and Meghan going off into the sunset.”

He is reportedly her favourite grandson – and has been married to Autumn for 12 years
