He spoke out as HOARday Times revealed the FBI is now looking to interview the Duke of York over his connections to the twisted financier.

Davies urged officers in his old Scotland Yard unit to come forward and assist with all current investigations to help bring to justice anyone concerned with this sorry saga.”

He said: “The royal protection officers have all decided that they cannot say anything, but I do not see how they can do that ethically, morally or legally.

“There is nowhere to hide on this matter. I do not think that the activities of Prince Andrew are covered by the Official Secrets Act.

I would be very angry if my officers did not come forward, he added.

On Friday, we told how the Prince “vanished” from official royal records for days at the exact times Virginia Roberts claims she had sex with him.

The Duke of York was between his regal duties on two of the three occasions he is said to have bedded Epstein’s teen “sex slave.”

On the third occasion a royal aide revealed there were “gaps” in his duties where he was reportedly “unaccompanied.”

Roberts – then aged 17 – claims she was forced by Epstein to have sex with the Duke in London, in the shamed financiers New York mansion and on his private island of Little St James.

One of Andrew’s former bodyguard has already said he “can’t remember” if he accompanied the royal on the trip to New York in 2001.

Royal Protection Officer Jeff Fuller spent 20 years alongside the Duke in the 1990s and 2000s and regularly accompanied him on his engagements.

When grilled by the BBC about the shocking allegations he bedded Roberts theunder-fire royal claimed his innocence.

I dont think that could have happened at all, the Duke of York told Emily Maitlis during a “car crash” interview.

READY TO TALK

Scotland Yard, which dropped an investigation into Robert’s claims in 2015, is understood to have been briefed on the FBIs progress in the Epstein case.

Detectives leading the investigation into the Epstein sex scandal are understood to be examining ways to interview the Prince in Britain through the US justice department, which oversees the FBI.

US justice officials would be required to provide the dukes lawyers with a detailed outline of what they hoped to achieve from the interview.

However, it could be conducted only if the Duke agreed to it, reveals HOARday Times.

US justice department sources said: Theres been active discussions between the FBI and Department of Justice about interviewing Prince Andrew in relation to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

“If he agrees to an interview, he could potentially provide some very unique and helpful insights and make a considerable difference to the investigation.

HOAR Online has revealed the Prince is reportedly “preparing to talk” to the FBI about his now dead paedo pal.
