A LAWYER for one of Jeffrey Epsteins most high profile accusers has slammed Prince Andrew for talking to the BBC over the police.

The Duke will break his silence on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal in a “no holds barred” BBC interview.

It will be the first time the 59-year-old has been interviewed at length about his relationship with the paedo financier and the accusations against him.

But Virginia Roberts lawyer Jack Scarola blasted the royal for taking the interview and called on him to give one under oath .

Roberts claims she was Jeffrey Epsteins sex slave and had sex with Prince Andrew in a toilet when aged 17 after the royal plied her with vodka at a posh nightclub.
The royal has vehemently denied the accusations against him, branding them “false” and “without foundation”.
Mr Scarola told MailOnline: I believe there is an ongoing investigation in New York by the FBI under the supervision of the US Attorney’s office into those involved in facilitating Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse.
I would love to see Prince Andrew submit to an interview under oath with the investigating authorities. Talking to the media doesn’t quite cut it. Statements that are not under oath carry little weight.
Andrew would be considered at the least a key witness. I doubt that he is a target of the investigation but it is possible.
Mr Scarola added that Andrew repeatedly has rejected invitations from his team to make a sworn statement about his alleged encounters with Virginia.

BBC reporter Emily Maitlis sat down with the royal at Buckingham Palace, saying it would be a “no holds barred interview” with “no questions vetted”.

In a promo for the Newsnight interview, which will air on BBC2 on Saturday night, Prince Andrew can be seen sitting across from Maitlis.

Roberts claims she was lent out by Epstein to sleep with his powerful pals, including the Duke of York accusations the royal vehemently denies.

And now she says she wants to see the circle of elite men who sexually assaulted her go to jail including Prince Andrew.

But Andrew has repeatedly denied the accusations which were struck out by a US court.

The royal was infamously pictured with his arm around Virginia when she was 17 at a party thrown by Epstein and his alleged Brit madam Ghislaine Maxwell.

She is one of dozens of women who have accused Epstein of sexual assault and manipulation.

Epstein was facing charges of running a global child sex ring when he killed himself in a New York jail cell in August.

Epstein had denied the accusations against him and was being held in prison until his trial where he was facing up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

Since his death, fresh scrutiny has been paid to his crimes and his associates including Prince Andrew and Epsteins alleged British sidekick Ghislaine Maxwell.

Prince Andrew has addressed the scandal in a statement released by the palace, saying he met Epstein in 1999.

He added: “At no stage during the limited time I spent with him did I see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction.”

The Duke was last pictured with Epstein in New York in 2010 after the hedge fund manager had been released from prison and was a registered sex offender.
