THE QUEEN, who is triple vaccinated, has tested positive for Covid after suffering from mild cold-like symptoms, palace officials say.

Her Majesty is expected to hold a telephone audience with the Prime Minister tomorrow.

Their meetings typically occur on Wednesdays and haven’t relented in the last few years despite COVID becoming a factor.

It’s believed the Queen was heard complaining about stiffness in her legs last week before she tested positive for COVID.

It was thought that the Queen’s positive COVID test wouldn’t hamper her she’d continue to conduct audiences this week, albeit virtual. The intention was also that she’d carry on light duties despite catching Covid.

However, it’s emerged that the 95-year-old monarch, who is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms, is self-isolating at Windsor Castle, where a number of her team have also been hit by the virus and is no longer able to hold other audiences.

The news comes after the Queen had come into direct contact with Prince Charles during the same week he tested positive for the virus.

Yesterday, Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has tested positive for Covid.

“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”
