SHE MAY be royal, but Kate Middleton has proven she’s just like any other busy mum in the run-up to Christmas.
Yesterday lunchtime, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted doing some last-minute shopping in a department store.

Kate, 37, could be seen by onlookers crouching down, beside a basket, as she browsed some children’s tights in Peter Jones in London’s Sloane Square.
The Duchess was spied holding a dark-coloured pair, likely to be for her four-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.
Along with Prince William, Prince George and Prince Louis, they are due to celebrate Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk with the Queen and the rest of the royal family in five days’ time.
One fellow shopper at the Chelsea-based shop was so “starstruck” that she described how she froze and backed away from the royal mum-of-three.

Of her unusual encounter, she said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes, for a moment I thought it was just someone that looked a lot like Kate Middleton.
“But then I had a closer look, and realised it was her – shopping!
“Other people were whispering as they passed Kate, so I had to get a photo.
“I’ve never been so close to a Royal before. I just couldnt believe she was there!
“It looked like she was buying children’s tights for Charlotte, a bit like me finishing off my own Christmas shopping!”
For her shopping trip Kate – who wore her trademark blow dry – kept her outfit low-key, and wore a brown checked coat with a small brown 595 handbag by Mulberry slung across her body.

It’s not the first time Kate has been spotted out and about shopping in public.
In October, she surprised people at a supermarket when she stocked up on Halloween supplies at a Sainsbury’s in Norfolk.
Last year, she went bargain hunting in The Range, stunning onlookers as she bought budget-price festive decorations.
