Prince Charles’ former aide has stepped down following claims he “fixed” a CBE honour for a Saudi tycoon who gave millions to charities.
Michael Fawcett has temporarily quit as chief executive of the Prince’s Foundation whilst an investigation into allegations about his conduct takes place.
Mr Fawcett is alleged to have coordinated support to “upgrade” an honorary OBE to a CBE for Saudi Businessman Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz.
