Tom Bower says a book on Meghan is “in the offing”

A ROYAL author dubbed Britain’s “most feared biographer” is said to be planning a book on the Duchess of Sussex.

Tom Bower is most famously known for his biography on Prince Charles, who he called the “Rebel Prince”.

While the author is currently writing a book on Prime Minister Boris Johnson, he told the Sunday Express that a book about Meghan, is “in the offing”.

I’m not going to go into details I’m focusing on Boris,” he said.

“Yes, it is in the offing, I can’t deny that.

Bower hasn’t expressed many positive views about 38-year-old Meghan and accused the Duchess is “trying to be Diana” while appearing on Good Morning Britain last year.

The author spoke about the Duchess on Good Morning Britain

“The problem is in my view that she is trying to be Diana. She’s trying to adopt the new role, and the tragedy is it’ll end in the same way unless someone steps in from the Palace and says, Look, this is the way its done here,” he said.

When asked if the Duchess “deserved privacy”, he added:She doesn’t. She’s on public display and when you’re on public display 24/7 there has to be a certain way of behaving.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie recently returned from their first tour as a family

In a separate interview with Good Morning Britain, Bower was asked if Meghan was to blame for the split of The Royal Foundation in June.

Criticising the Duchess once again, he said: “I do, I think Harry is a really decent bloke but easily influenced.

“I think he’s found great love with her, but at the same time has married a woman who is very determined, very ambitious and has had a huge career in her terms in Hollywood and now to some extent thinks that she’s going to have a new career in London.

Bower says he thinks Harry is “easily influenced”

“I don’t think she wants to be constrained by the royal demands and the royal way of doing things.

“When Archie was born, when the wedding was arranged, the way they now control extraordinarily their PR and these rumours of them going to Cape Town in South Africa, it’s all about an individual Meghan-led operation.”

A publishing source told the Express: “Bower isn’t big on flattery. Finding out that he’s writing a book about you is a bit like hearing the executioner starting to sharpen his axe.”
