THE QUEEN has a lady-in-waiting to carry her teacup for her at social events, actress Minnie Driver has revealed.
The 50-year-old star spoke of the encounter on the Graham Norton show back in 2010 where she revealed she had met the queen in a casual setting.

Speaking on the show she said: She had this brilliant lady-in-waiting behind her whos just there to hold her tea.
She (the Queen) puts her hand out and the woman sort of shimmies the cup of tea on to her palm.
The Queen goes around talking, has a sip, goes on talking the whole time, the woman takes it (the cup) she is just there for the tea.
Minnie went on to explain how the same day there had been an enormous thunder storm and the monarch had several two inch thunder flies settled in her fantastic hat.

It should come as no surprise that the Queen ensures that a cup of tea is near by as she starts each day with a brew.
According to royal biographer Katie Nichollthe Queen starts her day with a round of biscuits – and a cup of tea, of course.
Katie Nicholl has revealed that Her Maj often starts the day with a sweet treat, followed by a bowl of cereal.
Importantly, the cereal must have been stored in Tupperware to keep it fresh.
The Queen, 93, then indulges in a second breakfast of marmalade on toast followed by another tea.
