ROYAL fans have gone into meltdown over a photo of the Queen with her hands in her pockets claiming shes just like ‘the rest of us’.
Aged 93 the Queen is still managing to pull off some shocking fashion statements.
A photo of the Queen standing with her hands in the pockets of her cream tweed dress has seen the monarch branded a badass.
She posed casually for the photoshoot, published in Hello, with her dressmaker, Angela Kelly, revealing the Queen had always wanted to break protocol.
Angela, whose tell-all book The Other Side of the Coin: the Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe, is published today, revealed Her Majestys secret desire.
She said the great-grandmother had longed to have a more casual portrait, but The Queen Mother and her staff advised her against it, saying it would be inappropriate.
But a few years ago, when Angela was researching her book, she convinced the Queen it was finally time to have her photo taken the way she wanted.
Angela recalled on the morning of the shoot photographer, Barry Jeffrey, tried to explain how the day would go.
But the Queen stopped him in his tracks.
Angela claimed she held her hand up, and said: No, Barry, this is how we are going to do it.
Just keep the camera rolling.
She then began to pose like a model as Barry clicked away.
Angela, originally from Liverpool, said: Her Majesty took her position in front of the lens and started striking a series of poses, slipping her hands in and out of her pockets and placing them on to her hips, mimicking the stance of a professional model.
I stood in disbelief, the Queen was a natural.
She claims despite reels of photos, the Royal Collection only decided to use two.
Angela said: Their opinion was that these more candid photographs would bring the Monarchy down.
Why they thought that, I have no idea.
But fans are going wild over one of the photos which made the cut, which shows the Queen beaming away.
Taking to social media, one person said: I am LOVING this picture of the Queen with her hands in her pockets.
Another tweeted: ’I like your dress Thanks! Its got pockets’!!
A third wrote: The actual Queen is absolutely rocking the pockets-in-dress look this morning!
Someone else commented: There’s something about the pose/the pockets that makes the Queen look like a total badass in this pic.
This person posted: Good morning to no one except The Queens dressmaker because THIS DRESS HAS POCKETS.
And this person added: Reassuring that the Queen gets as excited about a dress with pockets as the rest of us.
Somebody else said: “A red carpet pose if I ever saw one! Love, love the hands in the pockets.”
Another tweeted: And it has pockets! HM is relatable.”
And Angela Kelly revealed she has a wicked sense of humour and loves mimicking accents.
Plus she once visited the Emmerdale setas part of the village blew up yards from her feet.
Meanwhile its been reveals she only uses six of Buckingham Palaces 775 rooms.
