THE QUEEN is an expert when it comes to public speaking and it seems stage presence is something she had at an early age.

As a young Princess Elizabeth, the monarch appeared in
several pantomimes alongside her sister Margaret during the Second World War.

The Queen is seen as Prince Florziel on her 1941 production of Cinderella, while Princess Margaret plays Cinderella

And the Queen bucked tradition when she took the role of
Prince Florziel in Cinderella in 1941.

According to Town and Country, the royal sisters put on the performance for Royal School head Hubert Tannar at Christmas time.

The Queen played male roles in three of the four plays:
Prince Florizel in Cinderella, Prince Salvador in Sleeping Beauty, and the
titular role in Aladdin.

But Margaret stuck exclusively to female roles.

The Queen also played Aladdin in a play – one that was watched by a young Prince Philip

The pair soon began courting not long after the Duke of Edinburgh watched the Queen in the pantomime

According to Time magazine, the plays had a part in the
Queens romance with Prince Philip who watched her in her role as Aladdin
during a visit over the festive period.

And it was shortly after that her grandmother, Queen Mary of
Teck, wrote to a friend about their relationship, saying that the pair had
“been in love for the past eighteen months. In fact longer, I think.”

Photographs from the plays, as well as scripts and programmes, resurfaced in 2013 where they went up to auction.
