THE St Leger at Doncaster is the final Classic of the season – and one of the biggest races all year.

It is the flagship race of the St Leger Festival and this year is run on Sunday, September 11.

The St Leger is one of the biggest races of the year.

The race is usually contested on the Saturday before.

But it was moved this year as all racing was cancelled on Saturday as a mark of respect after The Queen passed away peacefully aged 96.

Who won the St Leger?

Sun Racing will bring you the full result once the race has finished.

Charlie Appleby’s Godolphin-owned New London was the strong market leader.

He was around 11-10 to win, with the Frankie Dettori-ridden Haskoy second-favourite on 9-2.

That horse had come in for a load of pre-race support.

While there had also been some for Royal Ascot winner Eldar Eldarov.

The full result will be right HERE once the race, set to start at 3.55pm, has finished.
