VIEWERS have praised Amazon’s 2019 Christmas advert saying it’s the best they’ve seen yet.

The online retail giant’s festive offering was shown for the first time on TV last night during the ad break on Coronation Street.

Amazon’s advert features people alongside singing parcels

It features a whole host of people singing and dancing to Solomon Burkes classic track, Everybody Needs Somebody to Love.

At the same time, people are giving or delivering gifts to loved ones that are, of course, inside Amazon boxes.

And these Amazon parcels themselves have animated mouths that they’re using to singalong to the lyrics.

There are three versions of the ad that will all be airing between now and December 22 – a 90-second full-length advert, a 60-second shorter version, and even snappier 30-second version.

Amazon says the idea behind the adv is that its parcels bring people joy

But despite the advert’s hefty dose of cheese it appears some viewers are loving it.

One person wrote on Twitter: “The Amazon Christmas advert is so cute”.

While another added: “The #LeafyBlinders [advert from Aldi] is brill! My fave so far is the Asda one or the Amazon one. Big Christmas ad fans in this house.”

And someone else wrote: “Here they come, best Christmas 2019 ads so far: Visa featuring @villagebooksdul by @saatchilondon, Amazon – @LuckyGenerals, Asda – @AMV_BBDO, Walkers – @AMV_BBDO, Zalando – @motherlondon, Iceland – @IcelandFoods, Argos – @theandp_london, Very – @StLukesLondon.”

Some viewers are loving Amazon’s “cute” new Christmas advertBut others aren’t so convinced, with one writing: “The Amazon Christmas advert is getting on my titties already… #christmasadverts”, which someone else commented in response to: “They’re all getting on mine, and it’s only first week in November.

The advert features the song “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love

“Mary hadn’t even told Joseph she was pregnant this early”.

Another wrote: “Omygod the Amazon Xmas advert drivin’ me potty. Hate that song now.”

But other viewers aren’t so keen on Amazon’s festive offering

Simon Morris, vice president global creative at Amazon, said: This campaign is about those special moments that we all share at this time of year and how Amazon helps to deliver smiles and play a small part in creating these wonderful memories.

A further series of ads will also run over the festive period highlighting specific moments, including Black Friday, gift giving and preparing for those all-important Christmas parties.

It even features a super cute puppy

But Amazon isn’t the only retailer to have launched its 2019 Christmas advert.

Very’s Christmas advert sees stars of past festive adverts join forces to make Christmas extra-special for one person.

While Asda’s Christmas advert has a heartwarming story behind its northern lights festive campaign.

Icelands Frozen 2 Christmas advert reveals Olaf and Elsas favourite thing about the festive season.

And Argos Christmas advert features its “book of dreams” and a crowd surfing toy bear.
