WE are less than a month a way from the most wonderful time of the year and all eyes will be glued to the TV screen on Christmas Day.

BBC have announced their lineup so let’s take a look at what they will have in store for us during the festive period.

What can we expect to see in EastEnders on Christmas Day?

As usual, EastEnders will be BBC’s most popular Christmas Day show and according to The Mirror, fans of the soap were made aware that an explosive storyline would air on Christmas Day.

Sharon and Keanu’s baby secret is finally set to be revealed after months of hiding and scheming.

How will Phil react when he discovers his wife slept with his daughter’s boyfriend?

How will Louise cope when she finds out her boyfriend got her step-mother pregnant?!

All this and more will be revealed in just under a month’s time.

Will be there be a Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special?

The tradition of a Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will continue on Christmas Day this year.

It is a one-day special that will see the best couple crowned Strictly Come Dancing Christmas champions.

This year features former Strictly competitors such as TV presenter Mark Wright, actress Gemma Atkinson, YouTuber Joe Sugg, actress Chizzy Akudolu, radio presenter Debbie McGee and and presenter Richard Arnold.

New Year’s Day 2020 will mark nine years since the Mrs Brown’s Boys first aired on television

What else will be on BBC at Christmas?

Gavin and Stacey will return for a Christmas episode, while Call The Midwife will also be on the box for an unmissable festive episode, which is most likely to feature current I’m A Celebrity contestant Cliff Parisi.

Lucky fans of Mrs. Brown’s boys will get a double dose of the Dublin matriarch, with special shows to air on Christmas and New Year.

Doctor Who will make a return this Christmas as is Miranda, but with a twist.

BBC will be airing a celebratory special titled Miranda: My Such Fun Celebration featuring the cast and crew reminiscing on the sitcom’s highlights a decade after it first hit TV screens.

The Christmas edition of Top of the Pops is coming back this festive season, as well as movies like A Christmas Carol, starring Guy Pearce, and an adaptation of Dracula by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss to sink your teeth into.

Comedian Michael McIntyre returns with his Big Christmas show, and guests include Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood and Sharon Osbourne.
