EASTENDERS fans all have the same complaint about Ben Mitchell making Lola Pearce’s death all about himself.
The mechanic – who is played by actor Max Bowden in the BBC soap – discovered how Lola had begged Billy to end her life to save her from the pain and was furious.

And despite Lola changing her mind, Ben was determined to stop her from dying – at all costs.
With the rest of the family surrounding Lola as she got baptised and accepted the end was near, Ben promised Lexi that Lola would be alive for months yet.
Even his dad Phil tried to talk him round, telling him: “You know your gran, she took her own life because I refused.
“She said she couldn’t cope anymore, she begged me and I just couldn’t. Because I’m a coward.
“I let her down just when she needed her the most. I should’ve stepped up and been there to help her.
“Stop making this all about you. Get over to Billy’s and be there for Lola.”
But despite Phil’s words, Ben decided to double down.
After a clash with Jay, Ben called the American doctors to try and get Lola into a hopeless trial.
He said: “Can I leave a message for Dr Washington please. It’s Ben Mitchell, we spoke before.
“Listen, I’ve promised my daughter that Lola is going to be around in September. I need her to help me to make sure that that happens.”
But fans are sick of Ben making it all about himself and not actually being there for Lola.
One wrote: “Imagine barging into a house that isn’t yours, prodding a dying woman awake to shout and rant and rave over her deathbed over what YOU want & not what SHE wants until you make her cry & then accusing her family of not giving a crap.”
A second said: “Go on Billy lacing into Ben 
. What a spiteful ungrateful **** Ben is. Lola’s family have done everything they can for her there is nothing more they can do. 
. Ben needs to get serious professional help and needs to focus on being there for Lexi.”
Another added: “Jay is right — Ben needed those harsh home truths . Ben is being incredibly selfish right now. #EastEnders.”
