Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans livid as tonight’s episodes are cancelled in ANOTHER schedule shake-up

CORRIE and Emmerdale viewers have been left fuming as tonight’s instalments make way for football.

Fans will just have to stay patient until their next trip to the cobbles, making do with astroturf in the meantime.

The network plans to show the 2022 World Cup qualification games, which will eat into some of Corrie’s regular slots.

England goes head to head with Albania on Friday, November 12, with a broadcast starting at 7pm (and kickoff at 7.45pm), and then San Marino on Monday, November 15, at the same time.

Coronation Street will be back on the telly next Tuesday, November 16, diving back into some nice and meaty storylines.

But fans clearly aren’t keen on patience and have taken to Twitter to share their outrage at yet another ITV schedule shake-up.

One stomped up the warpath to write: “I have got to say that I am disgusted with ITV, the reason being you have taken off Coronation Street and Emmerdale for football. This has ruined mine and no doubt hundreds of other viewers’ viewing pleasure”.

And it looks like the soaps might be losing a loyal audience member, as they added: “Because of this I shall be watching less and less of ITV”.

Not quite ready to leave it there, the viewer went on to say: “Which means I shall be watching your rival channels more and more. I normally only watch ITV keep on doing this sort of thing and I shall stop watching ITV and change to your rivals”.

“Keep the sport for ITVfour and let your viewers watch their regular programmes”, they demanded.

A second agreed with the channel choice for the footie: “It’s an f***ing joke. Put the football on ITV4 ffs”.

As did a third: ‘Why can’t they just put the football (or Corrie) on ITV2, 3 or 4? It’s always the soaps that get messed around”.

While a fourth simply suggested: “Could just put the soaps on earlier”.

Others really didn’t see the problem, with one penning: “We’ll cope”, alongside a hilarious Sesame Street meme joking: “We’re all gonna die”.
