CORONATION Street has been cancelled tonight – as the soap schedules are plunged into chaos again.

However, ITV has made sure Coronation Street fans don’t go without their fix for too long… again.

Corrie fans will face another shake-up

The ITV soap won’t be airing tonight

Typically airing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the Manchester-based drama has been taken off schedule on multiple occasions.

Unfortunately for viewers, tonight is another day where they will have to wait for drama to unfold as ITV will, instead, air another FA Cup match.

The long-running soap will be replaced by Manchester City‘s confrontation with Arsenal, with kick-off set at 8pm.

Gunners will be facing City, the second in Premier League, in the FA Cup’s fourth round.

Set to take a night off tonight in favour of the FA Cup action, Corrie actually aired last night.

An hour-long instalment of Corrie aired at 9pm on Thursday night instead.

The upcoming drama should keep viewers on their toes ahead of Monday as other matches will be taking over this weekend.

Manchester United‘s Red Devils will be taking on Reading on Saturday from 7.15pm while Liverpool is due for another face-off with Brighton on Sunday at 12.45pm.

Coronation Street will be back to its regular schedule on Monday (January 30, 2023), thus airing from 8pm.

TV shake-ups have been frequent on the box with Corrie fans having to wait several days before being able to catch up with life in Weatherfield.

The iconic soap was already pulled off the air for the World Cup and the changes also had an impact on rival ITV show Emmerdale and BBC One‘s EastEnders.

Viewers were forced to wait for the climax of Max’s grooming storyline on January 9.

Taken under Griff Reynolds’ wing, the lad played by Paddy Bever helped the racist activist spread his views across the cobbles through his video editing skills.

He has had to face the consequences of his recent actions.

Elsewhere in Corrie, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) was shocked to see her estranged mother Christina (Amy Robbins) rock up the cobbles ahead of her nuptials with Daniel Osbourne.

What’s in store for Weatherfield residents?

Tune in to ITV tonight at 9pm.
