Corrie’s Kimberly Hart-Simpson breaks down after fulfilling late dad’s dream

After Corrie he went on to appear in hit ITV series Where the Heart Is for 27 episodes and 3 episodes of Casualty in 2003 before leaving acting behind to focus on his studies.

Now, he spends his days gardening and hanging out with girlfriend.

Joseph and Sam’s sibling – Emily, 40, – also appeared in Coronation Street as the character Rebecca Palmer for 51 episodes between 1996 – 1997.

There are in fact nine Aston kids – four brothers and five sisters.

Joseph is one of three actors to play Tommy, he was preceded by Darryl Edwards who took on the role from 1992 to 1997 and then Chris Fountain later took on the role from 2011 to 2013.

Speaking when he was just 16 about his big family, Sam said: “My family keeps me down-to-earth – I don’t think they’d let me go off the rails.

“My brother, Joe, is my best mate, he really is. He’s 18 and lives at home so we spend all our time together. I’m from a massive family – I’ve got five sisters and three brothers – so that helps, you’ve got a lot of people looking out for you.

“And I always tell myself, ‘It’s just a job’. I suppose I’ve grown up with it – I was 10 when I joined the show – so it’s been a slow process.”
