CORONATION Street viewers have been left fearing for the safety of Alya Nazir as she miraculously survived a van explosion.
The brave character from the ITV soap took swift action after discovering a bomb in the Speed Daal delivery van, driving it away to a waste ground and away from the Peace festival being held on the cobbles.

Despite being knocked out and thrown from the car, Alya survived
However, as she arrived with seconds to spare, viewers were left dumbstruck (and somewhat confused) as the van exploded with Alya nowhere in sight.
She was later seen collapsed on the ground.
Thankfully, she made it out of the terrifying foiled bomb plot with nothing but a scratch on her head and covered in soot.
She was later picked up by police as she wandered in a daze around the streets, trying to get back home.
Reunited with terrified Yasmeen, she looked shaken but largely completely unharmed.
However, she declined going to the hospital, instead insisting on just a glass of water for what could surely be devastating internal injuries.
Now fans are worried that she could die from the injuries anyway.
“Is Alya gonna actually die??????” one fan quizzed.
“#Corrie was very ‘exciting’ which feels like the wrong word given the subject matter – but Alya would surely have been more gravely injured?” said another.
“Why wouldn’t they take alya to the hospital?? clearly got a head injury??” a third asked.
