CORONATION Street fans are horrified after Aaron Sandford blamed Amy Barlow for his own sick sex attack on her.

The mechanic – who is played by actor James Craven in the ITV soap – raped Amy while she was too drunk to consent in Friday night’s episode.

Tonight Amy wasn’t herself as it slowly dawned on her what had happened

Aaron caught her outside and told her: “Amy will you stop and talk to me please”

Tonight Amy wasn’t herself as it slowly dawned on her what had happened.

But after struggling to cope with what Aaron had done, Amy left the flat and moved back home.

Aaron caught her outside and told her: “Amy will you stop and talk to me please.

“Summer’s been asking questions about why you’ve gone to your mum and dads.

“She’s going to suspect something if you keep acting weird. And I know this isn’t ideal but can we please just forget that this ever happened.

“It will break Summer’s heart if she finds out.”

He added: “I am sorry, you must hate me. I hate myself. It should never have happened. But we were drunk.

“That’s why I’m saying we should just pretend it never happened. What is the point on dwelling on it? Let’s just write it off like the drunken mistake it was.”

“Drunken mistake?” raged Amy.

“It was more than that Aaron. I didn’t want it. I can barely remember the night but from what I can remember I was leathered.

“Too drunk to even stand up. I can’t remember anything after the kissing. So if I can’t remember it, how can I have been in any state to consent to it?”

Aaron was horrified at what Amy said – but decided to blame her anyway.

“You were just as responsible for what happened as me,” he told her.

And his words left fans sickened.

One wrote: “He’s rotten to the core.”

A second said: “What a disgusting scumbag.”

Another added: “I’m sickened watching this #Corrie.”
