CORONATION Street fans are in shock after Lydia Chambers was revealed as Adam Barlow’s stalker.
The factory saleswoman – who is played by actress Rebecca Ryan in the ITV soap – has been revealed to be the person secretly torturing Adam and his wife Sarah Platt in an evil revenge scheme.
In tonight’s episode Sarah and Adam were left terrified when they discovered a funeral bouquet inside their locked apartment.
Realising the stalker could still be inside, Adam armed himself with a baseball bat and called police in.
He was forced to admit that he had been terrorised with silent phone calls.
In the end he decided that he couldn’t put Sarah and son Harry in any danger and sent them to stay with her brother Nick.
After she left Adam was left alone – until his uncle Peter turned up.
The solicitor explained what was going on – thinking it was a dodgy businessman harassing him.
His phone didn’t stop ringing with the threatening calls.
But as Adam hit rock bottom with the relentless calls – Peter told him to let it ring.
“Don’t give him the satisfaction,” he said but added: “What if it’s not this Brendan bloke?”
With that the true identity of the stalker was revealed.
Outside the apartment building, Adam’s ex Lydia sat in her car calling Adam over and over again.
Viewers are in shock at what she’s done, but predict worse is to come.
