CORONATION Street fans have called out a major blunder with Carla Connor’s van crash tonight.

The Underworld boss – who is played by actress Alison King in the ITV soap – was spiked with LSD by serial killer Stephen Reid as part of a sick scheme to steal her business.

Carla crashed into Paul Foreman after being spiked with LSD

She knocked him off his bike while hallucinating

He deleted a meeting from her diary to mess with her mind, before putting the hallucinogenic into her tea in an attempt to discredit her and make people think her mental health troubles were back.

Viewers know Carla suffered a psychotic break three years ago after being framed from the death of Rana Habeeb.

Stephen discovered her history and decided to use it against her.

However it had disastrous consequences when she was summoned to her meeting and left while suffering from the effects of the drugs.

Stopped from driving her own car by mechanic Abi who realised something was wrong, Carla decided to take an Underworld van instead.

But as she drove down the street she began to hallucinate with the LSD – and drove directly into Paul Foreman.

Knocking him off Peter’s bike, Paul was crushed and rushed to hospital.

But despite the law being clear meaning that all accidents must be reported to the police, Carla’s wasn’t.

And she wasn’t tested for drugs – which would show up the LSD and Stephen’s plan.

Viewers called out the huge blunder.

One wrote: “How’s Carla not in police custody after that crash and being given tests which would show narcotics in her system?”

A second said: “Maybe call the police and get Carla tested you bunch of morons.”

Another added: “I would think Paul going to hospital would cause a police investigation on Carla?”
