How does Elaine try and expose Geoff’s abuse in Coronation Street?
Official spoilers have revealed that Elaine calls Alya and agrees to give evidence against Geoff in court next week on the soap.
Her brave decision comes shortly after Yasmeen suffers a heart attack from stress on the day of her trial.
But when Geoff discovers that Elaine is further damaging his reputation, he flies into a rage and threatens to get her arrested if she doesn’t leave the cobbles.
Will Geoff manage to scare Elaine away or will he only make matters worse for himself?

Corrie bosses are yet to confirm whether Elaine’s involvement will secure Geoff’s downfall, but that hasn’t stopped fans hoping it’ll be enough to put the monster behind bars.

A second hopeful viewer said: “Yasmeen you need to listen to Elaine. She has been through the same things that you have been through. It’s enough to send Geoff down for good if police got wind of it.”

What do we know about Geoff Metcalfe’s downfall in Coronation Street?
Corrie producer Ian MacLeod has already confirmed that Geoff will meet his downfall this year.
He previously said: “What form that comeuppance takes is still in discussion. We wanted a redemptive ending ultimately for Yasmeen.”
Adding that he, Ian and Shelley had been in correspondence with real-life abuse victims, Ian continued: “For the sake of all those people, we have to tell the right ending with some positivity and optimism.”
But Corrie bosses are yet to confirm how exactly Geoff’s downfall will come about, and fans will have to tune in to find out.
