Regular ITV viewers were floored to find out the Manchester-based drama was at the centre of another shake-up in the regular TV schedule along with Emmerdale.
Coronation Street usually airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday but the broadcaster has decided it will also make an appearance on our screens tonight.
While Emmerdale will air half an hour early, Corrie will be broadcasted at 7.30pm instead of 8pm in order to make room for the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals.
Drama has reached the cobbles once again last night as Daisy Midgeley (played by Charlotte Jordan) is set to face her stalker Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) during a tense court trial.
Much to her surprise, Justin’s sister Karen came back to Weatherfield and offered her support.
The barmaid was happy to see Karen on her side but things will be very different tonight for Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and Carla Connor (Alison King).
Coming up, the pair are appalled to see Justin’s sister in the Rovers and a row immediately ensues.
Insults are thrown around, leading up to Ryan reminding Daisy how she went out of her way to split him up from Alya Nazir.
How will Daisy react to Ryan’s outburst?
As mentioned above, Karen came back to the cobbles during last night’s instalment of the long-running program.
She firstly apologised to Daisy for her brother’s behaviour, particularly due to his attack on the barmaid and Ryan Connor.
Karen then let Daisy know she was hoping Justin would go down for a long time.
But was she being honest?
Could she be plotting something with her brother Justin to help his defence?
And will he get comeuppance?
