Despite Sunita’s tragic passing, the youngster played by Tanisha Gorey has managed to move on with her life alongside her twin brother.
However, she becomes furious when she sees wayward Kelly (portrayed by departing actress Millie Gibson) wear an engagement that belonged to her late mother.
Knowing Aadi (Adam Hussain) has been getting closer to Kelly in recent weeks, she can only think of him to blame.
Next week, Asha confronts her brother over Kelly’s engagement ring and he’s forced to admit it was part of their mother’s jewellery collection.
But there’s a twist – Kelly and Aadi don’t intend to really get married.
In previous scenes, which are also due to air next week, the budding lovebirds came up with the idea of taking part in a competition to have a free holiday.
This means they’ve had to play the part of a love struck couple who are looking to get married.
Amid preparations for a quiz proving they really are a couple and after a kiss, Aadi decided to give Kelly his mother’s ring.
Yet when Kelly overhears Aadi explain everything to Asha, she takes it to heart.
Hurt and angry, she chucks the ring at Aadi before jumping in his new car and speeding away.
Aadi knows something has gone wrong and feels obligated to go after her.
He borrows Asha’s old princess bike and sets off down the ginnel – only to find his car crashed into a bollard.
With no trace of Kelly around the vehicle, how can Aadi make it up to her?
Kelly is reportedly due to meet her demise in upcoming weeks as actress Millie Gibson has quit the Manchester-based program.
Some fans are theorising she could even be killed off as the storyline around her exit is being kept under wraps.
But will she make peace with Aadi before leaving the cobbles altogether?
