The tear-jerking scenes will air on the ITV soap later this year.

A soap insider recently told the Daily Star: “These snaps suggest all is not well.

“It looks like Joseph could be heading off and leaving dad Chesney behind. Fans might want to stock up on tissues.”

Recent Corrie scenes saw Joseph Brown go missing after being bullied at school.

His dad Chesney was frantic after finding that his ten-year-old son had disappeared when he went to talk to him in the back yard, thinking that he was hiding away in a den.

After a frantic search, Chesney returned home and revealed that Joseph had run away while his partner Gemma Winter called the police.

And viewers were appalled when the cameras then panned to his 11-year-old cousin Hope who helped to hide him away in the loft at mum Fiz’s house.

POLICE MATTER

Next week, Gemma’s mum Bernie Winter is quizzed by the police over Joseph Brown’s disappearance in upcoming scenes.

Dev Alahan suggests to Bernie that he’d like to treat both their families to dinner at Speed Daal and formally announce that they’re now a couple at the start of the week.

A chuffed Bernie invites the family but Chesney doesn’t know how she can afford it.

When Hope’s giant stash of sweets is discovered by Fiz, Bernie has a word with Hope and warns her to stay away from Joseph and keep schtum about her deal with Clint.

Dev and Bernie host a family dinner in Speed Daal. Taking Bernie’s hand, Dev announces that they’re now officially a couple.

Bernie is still worried about her secret being revealed and stresses to Joseph that he has to keep quiet and not spend his £100 or they will all get into trouble.

A sneaky Bernie slips Joseph the video game he wanted, making him promise not to show his dad.

When Evelyn Plummer finds it she is convinced he must have nicked it prompting Bernie admitting she bought it with her pay rise from Dev, making Evelyn even more furious.

Dev buys Bernie’s story about making up the pay rise to stop Chesney feeling bad about her buying gifts but Evelyn is not convinced – is the game up for Bernie?
