SEAN Tully has been happy to reconnect with his son Dylan in recent weeks.

But as the lad gets ready for his send-off to London, he insists he’d like to spend more time in Coronation Street.

But the lad has a shock announcement to make

Glenda Shuttleworth gives him a proper send-off – but could Dylan stay in Weatherfield?

While he wasn’t initially recognised as Dylan’s legal father, Sean Tully (played by soap legend Antony Cotton) has done all he could throughout the years to be involved in the boy’s life.

Dylan’s mother Violet Wilson, who relocated to London after his birth, was first reluctant but she eventually allowed Sean to be a part of his biological son’s life.

This means the teen often drops by in the cobbles – such has been the case in recent weeks after more than a year away.

Next week, however, the time has come for Sean to say goodbye to the young boy portrayed by Liam McCheyne.

Dylan spends his last night in Weatherfield in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap before heading back to London.

This leads to Sean organising a farewell dinner for him.

But when he is called into work, George Shuttleworth’s sister Glenda (played by newcomer Jodie Prenger) has, yet again, an idea to save the day.

In later scenes, Sean arrives at the Bistro and finds out that both Glenda and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) have invited Weatherfield County footballer James (Nathan Graham) to surprise Dylan at his soirée.

The youngster is over the moon when James suggests a kickabout before dinner.

He then drops a bombshell on Sean – Dylan reveals he doesn’t want to go back to London and would rather live in the Street.

While Sean’s reaction remains to be seen, this could cause more turmoil between him and Violet Wilson.

As mentioned above, Violet wasn’t happy for Sean to be around Dylan during the first few years of his life as she wanted her then-partner Jamie Baldwin to bond with her son instead.

The family moved to London for a fresh start shortly after Dylan’s birth, leaving a heartbroken Sean behind.

Sean had immediately bonded with Dylan and was desperate to be involved in his life – but he had to wait Violet and Jamie’s breakup in 2011 before he could be welcomed into his own son’s life.

Could Dylan settle into the cobbles with his father?

Tune in to ITV to find out as Corrie airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm.
