CORONATION Street bosses are bringing back villainous loanshark Sharon Geary – in what looks set to be very bad news for Gary Windass.

Actress Naomi Cooper-Davis, who plays the dodgy character, was spotted at the soap’s studios last week as she returned to filming – more than a year since she last appeared on the show.

Her return could spell bad news for Gary

Naomi was spotted heading to the studios alongside fellow actors Mikey North (who plays Gary) and Kel Allen (who plays Laura Neelan).

Sharon, who first appeared on the soap in 2019, was originally the hench-woman for evil loanshark Rick Neelan, helping him to torment Gary and force him to hound people out of money.

She then began to work with Gary despite being suspicious of the fact that he had suddenly taken over Rick’s office, before Gary admitted to her that he had killed Rick.

A TV insider confirmed Sharon would return to the soap, telling us “she’s involved with Kelly Neelan’s court case”.

Now she’s back, Gary will once again have to watch his back as his big secret could be revealed.

Sharon’s loyalties very much lie with the Neelan family, but will she tell them who killed Rick?

Kelly – who is played by Millie Gibson in the ITV soap – is currently in prison on remand for the murder of Seb and attack on his girlfriend Nina.

The teenager was framed by thug Coret Brent for the hate crime attack against Seb and Nina, which caused the builder’s death.

Her mum, Laura, also returned to the soap recently in an attempt to sell her story and make some money off the back of her daughter.

Her plan backfires though, as Kelly reports her for child cruelty and she ends up getting arrested.
