ELEVEN-year-old Hope Stape is embroiled in fresh drama due to her father John’s crimes.

The youngster played by Isabella Flanagan comes face to face with the serial killer in a surprising way next week in Coronation Street.

Hope Stape faces her father next week

She’s made aware a book about John Stape will be released

All hell is breaking loose at No.9 – particularly for Tyrone Dobbs

Hope’s mother Fiz Stape (portrayed by soap legend Jennie McAlpine) was horrified when she found out a book about her life with the murderer would see the light of day.

And she was even more shocked when it turned out her own daughter had given all the information needed to a journalist who groomed her online.

Coming up, Fiz’s partner Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) goes to great lengths when his own actions lead to the book being released ahead of time.

He explains to Fiz he bought up all the stock from the local bookshop, including a cut-out of John Stape in an attempt to stop people from reading the book.

They’re quickly thrown when Hope lets herself in and Fiz proceeds to hide the John Stape books from her while Tyrone distracts her in the hallway.

Sadly, their efforts are in vain – Hope sulks in the backyard of No.9 and kicks open the door of the outhouse.

She’s stunned to be facing a cardboard cut-out of her real father, John, and a stack of books.

How will she react?

Prior to this, Hope is told by Fiz and Tyrone that the dreaded book she unknowingly contributed to will be published despite their best efforts to stop it.

The young girl rails at the both of them for failing to protect her.

When Tyrone is arrested on suspicion of assault, after he attacks the journalist that groomed Hope, she decides to stay with her uncle Chesney Brown and the family is clearly falling apart.

Hope found out about her father’s villainous actions during Fiz’s relationship with Phill Whittaker.

The latter came to the cobbles in 2021 and recently left after the Underworld machinist ended their marriage during their wedding reception.

But before his exit, with actor Jamie Kenna joining a rival soap, it was revealed that Phill was planning to write a book about John and Fiz’s life.

When she found out, volatile Hope resorted to what she does best – and destroyed Phill’s car.

What mischief will she be up to next?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
