FIZ Stape is terrified a book about her late serial killer husband may come out and push her back into the spotlight.
But there will be more to worry about as Hope catches the attention of a mystery man next week in Coronation Street.
Fiz Stape is worried when she gets a call from a journalist
A book about her former husband John Stape could see the light of day
But there’s more trouble ahead
The eleven-year-old played by Isabella Flanagan is accustomed to wreaking havoc around her.
However, she could be thrown into serious danger after chatting to a pal she made online.
Next week in the cobbles, Sam Blakeman (portrayed by Jude Riordan) first tells the young girl that he’s worried a letter might turn up from murderous Harvey Gaskell while he’s away.
The lad has been in touch with the criminal, demanding answers for his mother Natasha’s death.
Knowing he could get into trouble for writing to the incarcerated thug, Sam is convinced it would be best if he told his father Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) the truth.
Hope has another plan for Sam in mind and makes a troubling revelation.
The youngster tells Sam that coming clean about his link to Harvey would be a mistake.
Worse still, according to her gaming friend Mad Dog, adults should never be told any secrets.
It’s clear Hope is keeping something from her mother Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine).
But who could Mad Dog really be?
ITV viewers were immediately convinced Hope’s online friend was trouble when they were first introduced to him in July, 2022.
Mad Dog has been spotted asking Hope several questions about her family life.
This could lead to the conclusion that whoever she has been talking to is trying to dig some dirt on her mother Fiz – and perhaps even a glimpse of life as the daughter of serial killer John Stape.
While Hope is unknowingly taking advice from a bad influence, her mother Fiz calls in the Rovers to tell her partner Tyrone Dobbs she’s had a call from a journalist wanting to run an article about her late husband.
Fiz ends a call with the journalist and breaks some harrowing news to Tyrone.
She reveals that the journalist is planning to serialise a book about John Stape in the paper.
Tyrone, knowing all about Phill Whittaker’s project around John Stape, reckons Fiz’s spurned fiancé could be behind it all.
Who is Hope talking to?
