CORONATION Street’s Kevin Webster ends up a broken man in his bid to get the truth about murderer Corey Brent out.
In scenes set to air next week, viewers of the ITV soap will watch in horror as the mechanic is threatened by Corey’s villain dad Stefan.
It comes after Kevin embarks on a mission when his son Jack reveals Corey has been promoted to County’s first team and put on the bench for the next match.
Kevin realises this is another blow for Seb’s mum Abi.
Abi, who is still grieving over Seb, has gone to stay with her cousin as she can’t bear to be near Corey.
Kevin hatches a plan to reveal Corey’s true involvement in Seb’s death and get him thrown off the team – hoping it will bring Abi home.
Resolved to speak to the football manager himself, Tim Metcalfe offers to join Kevin.
But when the pair accost County’s manager outside the ground, he’s quick to remind them that Corey was acquitted in a court of law.
Having learned of Kevin’s attempts to wreck Corey’s reputation at County, Stefan calls by the garage to warn Kevin to lay off.
Seeing the strain his pal’s under, Tim urges Kevin to forget about justice for Abi and focus on his life with Jack.
Tim discusses the situation with Nina and admits Kevin’s a broken man.
He urges them both to back down for the sake of their sanity – but is Nina ready to abandon the fight?
