Norris’s partner Freda Burgess will break the devastating news to his friends that he’s passed away after suffering a stroke this week.

Next week, Freda returns to the cobbles to say a final goodbye to her partner Norris.

Viewers will see George show Freda the Order of Service for Norris’s funeral. 

George is mortified when Freda points out that he’s got Norris’s date of birth wrong.

Later in the week, the mourners gather in church for Norris’s funeral and Audrey hands round a hip flask of tequila.

Mary takes a huge gulp while Gail watches on with concern.
