ONE year after the death of Natasha Blakeman, Nick Tilsley gets shocking news about their son, Sam.

Next week in Coronation Street, the young boy is horrified to find out his father knows all about his pen pal, Harvey Gaskell.

Sam was recently caught writing letters to Harvey Gaskell

He was told to stop

But Nick finds out Sam went against his word next week and has continue to speak with Harvey

Weatherfield restaurateur Nick Tilsley, played by Ben Price, has some ongoing family drama.

In scenes due to air next week on ITV, Fiz (portrayed by Jennie McAlpine) breaks the news to him that, according to her daughter Hope, his son Sam is in touch with a criminal.

The lad played by Jude Riordan has been looking for answers about his mother Natasha’s death and has contacted Harvey Gaskell himself.

Murderous Harvey (Will Mellor) was thrown behind bars in 2021.

When Sam’s correspondence attempt was first discovered, he was made to promise he wouldn’t ever try to get in touch with Harvey again.

But, as many children his age do, Sam decided to go against his word and his father’s rules.

Fuming, knowing how dangerous Harvey can actually be, Nick tears a strip off Sam for lying to him next week.

But what led Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) to betray her friend?

Sam and Hope’s friendship is on the line next week after a journalist – who groomed the young girl into giving information online – publishes an instalment of a book on John Stape in the local Gazette.

Hope finds refuge in Victoria Garden with Sam after some nasty comments from her classmates.

In response, Nick reveals he’d appreciate it if Hope stayed away from his son.

Fiz is left in tears by Nick’s demand and, when her partner Tyrone Dobbs finds her, tensions are only made to grow.

The mechanic calls at Nick and Leanne’s flat and when Nick opens the door, Tyrone punches him hard.

This seals the deal for Nick who, later on, orders Sam to hand over his walkie talkie, telling him he’s to have no further contact with Hope.

Tyrone is also scolded by Fiz in later scenes of the Manchester-based program as she berates him for ruining Hope’s friendship with Sam by behaving erratically.

Can they sort their differences out?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV.
