Roy finds Shona wandering the cobbles

Corrie fans know that David’s world came crashing down when his wife Shona ended up in hospital with brain damage after the Christmas day shooting.

To make matters worse, David then realised that Shona was suffering from memory loss and had no idea who he, or their son Max, was.

Vulnerable Shona was then tricked by her murderer son Clayton into cutting David out of her life and demanding a divorce.

To cope with the heartbreak, David has been seeking out dangerous thrills and getting himself into bother by aggravating youths on dodgy estates.

Episodes of Corrie set to air this week will see Shona visit Gail and Sarah – but refuse to be anywhere near her husband David.

The visit ends in disaster when Shona wanders out into the garden and disappears, leaving the Platts searching frantically for her.

Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will see the Platts scrabble around trying to find Shona.

Meanwhile, Roy is shocked to discover Shona lurking outside the cafe and is saddened to realise she doesn’t recognise him, but ushers her inside anyway.

Having feared the worst, the Platts are relieved when they find Shona safe and sound with Roy.

As Shona’s key worker whisks her back to the rehab centre, David is struck with an idea.

Later in the week, Roy suggests Shona move in and offers to show her around the flat.

But when the oven alarm goes off, Shona leaps up and puts her hand inside the oven before anyone can stop her.

As Shona screams and nurses a burnt hand, Roy and Nina exchange concerned glances.

Later in the week, David and Roy visit Shona in rehab and she confirms that she would love to live with Roy.

David is pleased that she’ll be on his doorstep from now on, but worries that he’ll never be able to win her round.

Will Shona finally let David in?
