LEANNE Battersby launches a desperate court battle next week in Coronation Street to stop doctors turning off Oliver’s life support.
Leanne remained defiant when doctors told her and Steve that Oliver will never be able to breathe unaided again earlier this month – and insisted on pursuing private treatment in Germany in the hope of curing Oliver.

But the parents will receive another blow this week when doctors say that, after discussions with the clinic in Germany, they’re reached the conclusion that Oliver’s condition is so severe they’re unable to offer him treatment.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Leanne watch over Oliver.
Meanwhile, Steve and Leanne meet with a hospital mediator but their bubble is burst when the doctor reiterates that there’s nothing they can do for Oliver and that a second opinion would be a waste of money.
Leanne vows to fight for Oliver, even if it means going to court.
Later, Nick and Tracy arrive at the hospital to find Steve and Leanne spending thousands on a court case.
But Tracy throws a spanner in the works when she says no to the sale of Street Cars and the florists, telling Steve she won’t throw their future away on a case they’ve already lost.
Steve is left raging and breaks down by Oliver’s bedside.
Later in the week, Steve and Leanne get a date for their first court hearing.
