SEAN Tully actor Antony Cotton is one of many celebrities to turn to Cameo for extra cash.

Coronation Street fans were shocked to see him charge more than stalwart William Roache for personalised messages.

But he was recently slammed for the price of his personalised videos

Antony charges more than William Roache, despite the longevity of the latter’s Corrie role

The soap star has been a Weatherfield resident since his first appearance as the Underworld machinist in 2004.

With eighteen years in the cobbles under his belt, Antony decided to make the most of his success in the ITV soap by joining the video-sharing platform Cameo.

The 47-year-old offers his fans the chance to book personalised videos for any big event for £58.

But Antony also charges them £9 for a message and £174 for a live video call.

Finally, anybody wishing to book a business video with Antony has to pay a whopping £415.

Some Corrie fans couldn’t help but notice Antony was charging more than his co-star William for personalised video messages.

This was despite William portraying the longest-standing Weatherfield resident, Ken Barlow, a role he’s remained faithful to since 1960.

As shown on his own Cameo profile, William charges his fans £42 for personalised videos.

“I really love how he is the third most expensive Corrie actor”, one Corrie viewer wrote on Reddit in reference to Antony Cotton.

“William Roache is cheaper!”, they added.

Another complained: “Why would anyone pay for that, I wouldn’t even want it if it was free.”

“I click on it and says £58. Antony perhaps short of cash, those hair transplants aren’t cheap you know”, one viewer quipped.

One soap fan was particularly harsh: “I’d gladly pay that money to NOT see him on Corrie.”

Another viewer showed more understanding: “Most cameos are stupidly expensive but I kind of get why, probably not in Antony Cotton’s case but if they made them too cheap they’d get tons of requests and probably not have time to get to them in a decent timeframe.”

William Roache also charges less for messages, allowing fans to reach out to him for only £2.

However, the actor asks for £830 for a business video, which is twice as much as Antony’s price.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
