CORONATION Street star Sally Ann Matthews has taken a swipe at Phillip Schofield.

The actress cheekily tweeted a joke from a Motherland episode which aired over Christmas.

Holly Willoughby and Phil pictured ‘jumping the queue’

It took aim at the This Morning presenter over his “queue-jumping scandal” where the late Queen was lying-in-state.

The Motherland clip showed one character being told “there’s a queue Phillip Schofield” as she was about to walk into a shop ahead of others.

The moment amused Sally who couldn’t resist tweeting: “There’s a queue Phillip Schofield” x #Motherland.”

Sally Ann wasn’t the only one who found the joke hilarious.

One viewer said: “Saved #Motherland to watch today, in peace! Pure brilliance 30 minutes of laughs and tears. The only decent bit of telly in a long time. Hope we get a new series very soon. ‘There’s a queue Phillip Schofield’.”

Someone else said: “This is genius. Well played #Motherland#ThisMorning @thismorning @Schofe @hollywills.”

Another added: “Just watching Chistmas episode of Motherland Best line thus far: “get to the back of the queue Phillip Schofield” HAHAHAHAHA!”

Phil, 60, and his co-presenter Holly Willoughby, 41, faced huge backlash from those outraged that the This Morning hosts appeared to take VIP treatment rather than queue with the public.

The duo vehemently denied claims they’d pushed in front of people who’d waited up 24 hours to pay their respects to Her Majesty.

But a clip went viral on social media appearing to show Holly and Phil being led past a huge queue of people.

David Beckham and Susanna Reid were among the famous faces who queued up along with members of the public.
