She told her fans that her husband Andrew was “cancer free”
Vicky, 54, confirmed that the “cancer was gone” as she got ready to start organising a “party” to celebrate the news.
Posting two snaps of her husband Andrew Chapman, who she married in 2002, the soap actress gushed over him.
“Big day tomorrow in Chapman Castle,” she penned. “Andy to bed two hours ago, kissed me on the forehead and said ‘see you when I’m 60’.
“Party organised. Cancer gone. We are very lucky folks. Thanks Mr Mohan Pillai and Andy’s cancer team all provided by the NHS.”
It comes after it was revealed that Vicky is plotting a tell-all book about her time in the ITV soap – which she left in 2010.
The actress, who played cobbles legend Janice for 14 years, is expected to reveal the show’s secrets, including why she left.
To help with the book, Vicky has even reached out to former co-stars Gaynor Faye and Denise Welch on social media.
Last week fans flocked to support Vicky after she posted she was quitting showbiz over a lack of respect from industry chiefs after a failed audition.
In 2020 she broke down in tears when she was reunited with her former on-screen husband Bruce Jones on Loose Women.
The pals were very emotional as recovering alcoholic Bruce thanked Vicky for getting him through “bad times” – and says he “owes her so much”.
The actors hadn’t seen each other for five years and were overwhelmed as they appeared on a video call.
Seeing her again for the first time, Bruce said: “You look absolutely beautiful, you’ve never changed.
“I’m nearly in tears looking at you, the memories are flooding back.”
Elsewhere this year, Vicky showed off her £800-a-week idyllic country cottage that she rents out to holidaymakers.
In fact, Vicky – who lives next door – loves the place so much she prefers it to her main home because she doesn’t row with her hubby.
She shared snaps of the retreat in rural Lancashire on social media and told fans: “If any of my fellow gorgeous tweeters fancy a little holiday in our cute cottage then please check it out on Sykes Cottages. Pendleton Village.
“We adore it, so cosy and magical… but then we are biased. I don’t want to live in the big house. I want to live here! Everything is so much simpler. We don’t argue for starters!”
