CORONATION Streets crew are struggling to film scenes because of eight babies currently on set.

The tots are being used because of a storyline featuring cobbles stalwart Chesney Brown and Gemma Winters quadruplets Aled, Carys, Lilo and Bryn.

But the youngsters are causing chaos for production staff and the shows actors as they wont stop crying.

A source said: They have to have more than just four babies and have stand-ins for legal reasons so they can rotate.

The problem is the babies start crying and the filming gets delayed. One starts crying then the others all follow.

There are strict time limits allowed for each scene but the delays because of the babies is getting to crew members.

Sources revealed that when one baby starts crying all the others follow

After several attempts recently to film some scenes they ran out of time that they have legally allowed to have minors on set. Its a nightmare.

Another problem is that when the babies are on set and they start crying their mothers arent allowed to comfort their crying child as they cant be allowed on set during filming as its against union rules.

One ITV source added: We come to work to get away from our kids and now this.
