DAISY Midgeley is ready to walk down the aisle with on-off partner Daniel Osbourne.
But the barmaid’s online life gets in the way when a stalker begins to lurk in the shadows in Coronation Street.

The fan favourite character portrayed by Charlotte Jordan is growing her online presence, despite Daniel’s disapproval.
For Corrie boss Iain MacLeod, this was the perfect opportunity to introduce a new storyline about the dangers that influencers face on social media.
While she may only have a small following, Daisy will be facing “a certain degree of danger” as her nuptials with Daniel are approaching.
It all begins as the loved-up couple begin to organise their wedding and a severe culture clash is set to cause some havoc between them.
“Daniel wants a Dickens-themed wedding” Iain teased while talking to HOAR.
“Daisy’s like ‘are you having a laugh?’”
Much like his father Ken Barlow, Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard) displays some sophisticated taste as he’s hoping for a cultured wedding.
Daisy, on the other hand, “wants everything to be a bit extra.”
However, as they focus on their ceremony, both Daniel and Daisy will be too distracted to notice a creeping danger arising from the latter’s online life.
Iain teased that a mystery person will become infatuated with the Rovers barmaid and stalk her as a result.
“By the time that surfaces, it takes a while for them to realise danger’s brewing”, Iain said.
“We’re into an interesting current, a socially important story with far reaching psychological impact running across the
whole of 2023.”
The ordeal will also be a major threat to Daisy’s relationship with Daniel as she will progressively lose her faith in her partner.
Viewers of the program began to speculate Daisy was in danger and some believe they may know who the culprit is.
“Anyone else notice the username ‘This Charming Man’ on Daisy’s social media?”, one soap fan commented on Twitter after a recent instalment.
“I think the stalker is the same person who burgled the Barlows!”, a second viewer added.
According to another fan, Daisy’s stalker could be a man she met during her cancer scare.
The latter was in hospital at the same moment as Daisy and even sat next to her.
He opened up about his own story with cancer, revealing his mother was terminally ill.
“It’ll be the guy who sat with her at the hospital and he’ll have her engagement ring too!”, another fan suspected.
“Yeah, I reckon it’s that cute Scottish bloke who sat next to her at the hospital while he waited for his mam the other day.”
But could they be wrong?
