Corrie, Emmerdale, Love Island and The Chase stars join ITV’s new Christmas choir competition as full line-up revealed

DUST off your Santa hats, shake off your baubles and deck the halls with bows of holly – ITV are bringing some festive cheer this season with a brand new talent competition.

Britain Get Singing will feature a host of ITV favourites banding together to create a team of supergroup choirs, hoping to impress viewers with their singing chops in the name of a good cause.

Britain Get Singing will air across the Christmas period

HOAR Online can exclusively reveal that stars of Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Loose Women, Love Island and The Chase are all taking part in the new competition, all aimed to shine a light on mental health at a time when some need it most.

A TV insider said: “The show will be brilliant festive fun, all in the name of a great cause to raise awareness around mental health. There is something for everyone, from soap fans to reality obsessives and quiz show addicts, so it’s perfect viewing for the whole family around the silly season.” 

Across the 90-minute special, which already filmed in Manchester last weekend, five groups of celebrity choirs will compete against each other in order to be crowned the festive extravaganza champion. 

The teams are: 

Emmerdale: Lisa Riley, Mark Charnock, Jay Kontzle, Olivia Bromley, Daisy Campbell, Bradley Johnson and Lawrence Robb. 

Coronation Street:Michael Le Vell, Sue Devaney, Rob Mallard, Jodie Prenger, Daniel Brocklebank and Channique Sterling-Brown.

Loose Women: Brenda Edwards, Coleen Nolan, Denise Welch, Judi Love, Linda Robson and Kelle Bryan.

Love Island: Tasha Ghouri, Antigoni Buxton, Andrew Le Page, Danica Taylor, Luca Bish and Paige Thorne. 

The Chase: Anne “The Governess” Hegerty, Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan and Darragh “The Menace” Ennis. 

The air date for the series is yet to be confirmed, but will likely be in the week leading up to Christmas day.
