CORONATION Street fans spotted a huge blunder during last night’s episode when Simon Barlow failed to realise his mum Leanne didn’t have a french dial tone.
As viewers know, the PA – played by actress Jane Danson in the popular ITV soap – told her close friends and family that she was heading abroad for the festive period.

Leanne told ex boyfriend Nick, sister Toyah and son Simon that she was going to France so that nobody would bother her over Christmas whilst she locked herself in her flat.
She’s been struggling to cope with the loss of her three-year-old son Oliver, who sadly passed away to an incurable form of mitochondrial disease last November.
And now the mum-of-two has been finding it hard to cope with day to day life due to very little sleep.
Believing that his mum is over 800 miles away enjoying the sunshine, Simon tried calling her for a catch up, but only managed to get through to her voicemail.
The schoolboy said: “Hiya, it’s me. How’s France? Well I hope they’re looking after you.
“I just wanted a chat. Dad’s gone off with grandad, he’s a bit ill and I’m worried about him. Anyway, call me when you can.”
Leanne looked extremely guilty as she listened to the message, realising that despite losing one son, she still has another one to look after.
Realising that she needs help, she got on the phone to the doctor and managed to open up about how she was feeling.
But fans of the show couldn’t help but notice that Simon should have realised that his mum wasn’t in France because of the dial tone when he tried calling her.
Many took to Twitter to highlight the blunder.
One wrote: “All these peeps ringing Leanne in “France” and not one of them has questioned the absence of an international dial ton #Corrie.”
Another said: “Why has nobody noticed that Leanne’s phone doesnt have a foreign ring tone because shes not in France? I need to get out more. #Corrie.”
A third chimed in: “Is Simon a bit dense? If Leanne was in France, the ringtone would be different… #Corrie.”
A fourth added: “Wow I can’t believe no one knows Leanne isn’t in France yet. #corrie.”
