DANIELLA Westbrook has been rushed to hospital with the bloodstream infection Septicemia.
The 48-year-old star, long remembered for her performances as EastEnders’ Sam Mitchell, suffered a “sudden health shock”.
The condition, which could have been life-threatening, saw her bedridden for several days.
A rep for the star told HOAR she is now back home, explaining: “Danniella suffered a sudden health shock.
“Thankfully the issue was caught early and dealt with by medical professionals. Danniella has been released from hospital and is home recovering with the support of close family.
“We are grateful that Danniella hasn’t suffered from any major risks.

“Danniella appreciate’s everyone’s immediate support and we will be sure to issue updates on her ongoing recovery accordingly.”
The actress had been suffering from septicemia and received urgent treatment to stop the spread of any infection.
Also known as sepsis or blood-poisoning, it is a potentially life-threatening condition triggered by an infection or injury.
The NHS warns that without quick treatment, sepsis can lead to multiple organ failure and death.
A source explained that those close to Danniella have been caring for her since the hospital trip.
They told us: “The situation could have been severe and life threatening. Thankfully it was caught early and all necessary precautions were taken.”
The star’s daughter Jodie Jenkins yesterday gave fans an update on her mum’s mystery illness.
She said in an interview: “She’s doing well and she’s doing really well for herself.
“I haven’t seen her as much because I’ve been working but we keep in contact as much as we can.”
She added to the Daily Star: “Nowadays, I have quite a healthy relationship with my mum and my dad, so it’s lovely, she’s doing really well.”

Danniella, a huge star thanks to her profile on EastEnders on and off between 1990 until 2016, had taken a step back from the spotlight.
However, she has started being seen at events, photographed recently appearing the Celeb MMA party at Lit London.
The star is currently undergoing operations to get her rib implanted in her face after drugs left her with crumbling bones and a collapsed jaw and cheekbone.
She went under the knife to help rebuild her face – and restore her shattered self-confidence.
