DANNY Dyer has congratulated his daughter Dani following the birth of her baby son.

The EastEnders star celebrated becoming a grandad at 42 with a gushing tribute to Dani on Instagram.

Danny Dyer shared this photo of his Love Island star daughter Dani, 24, and her newborn baby son

The amazed actor, who plays Mick Carter in EastEnders, shared: “So my baby had a baby. F**k me we needed some joy this year.

“So proud of you @danidyerxx cannot wait to meet the little beaut.”

His photo racked up thousands of likes within minutes, with former EastEnders co-star Tilly Keeper and actor Davood Ghadami both writing “congratulations!” beneath the post.

The star’s post arrived just minutes after his eldest daughter Dani, 24, announced on Instagram that she had welcomed her son into the world with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence after a long labour.

She gave birth on Saturday, but revealed her happy news in a lengthy post on Instagram on Sunday evening.

Sharing a glimpse of her baby in the photo, she revealed: “After a very long day and night finally our special little boy arrived 23/01/2021 weighing 7 pound.

“We are in a complete baby bubble and enjoying every moment, can not believe he is ours, completely in love and so grateful to be his mummy..

“Sending all my love to all the other mommas to be out there in lockdown.. the best experience ever will never forget this day.”

Her dad admitted last week how he’s upset at not being able to meet the baby in hospital after Dani gives birth.

He said on his podcast: “I don’t think I’m allowed to see my own grandchild. That is very upsetting.”

Dani is engaged to boyfriend Sammy and recently showed off their baby’s nursery.

She told her followers: “The best room in the house.

“Starting to lose sleep with anxiety as baby’s coming so so soon now, (watching the night stalker also didn’t help me at all!) anyone else feel like this?”

Echoing the feelings of many first-time parents, she also admitted: “I’m so excited but so nervous at the same time, keep thinking am I organised, am I missing something, is there anything else I can do all these emotions going round in circles haha.

The star added: “Counting down the days.”
