ACTOR Ace Ruele Aristotles is at risk of being deported to Jamaica, despite the fact he was born in London.

The 33-year-old, who briefly appeared in EastEnders, has issued a heartfelt plea to the Home Office to help him resolve the issue.

Ace was born in Greenwich and raised in northwest London – he has only visited Jamaica twice in his life.

However his mum did not have British citizenship when he was born and while he was initially granted indefinite leave to remain, that was later revoked when he served a three-year prison sentence aged 19.

The dad-of-three now has to pay £2,389 every 30 months to stay in the UK.

Ace, who has also appeared in Legend of Tarzan, questioned the decision in an interview with MyLondon.

He asked:  “You just sometimes think to yourself, ‘is there nobody in the Home Office with a heart?’”

He continued: “I’ve been working, I’ve had a family, I was born and grown here, I’ve worked with the Met Police, the London Mayor’s office, helping tackle youth violence… so why are you troubling me? I never understood why.”

Ace was jailed for crimes including robbery with an imitation firearm, as well as spending three years in jail, he spent five months in an immigration centre.

He challenged deportation then, but five years ago his status was changed to limited leave to remain.

As well as his acting work, he gives talks to young people at risk of offending.

He previously told The Independent: “I take responsibility for my actions but, at the end of the day, I’ve served my time, have never reoffended and I’m not a threat to society.”

He continued: “At the point where my Indefinite Leave to remain was revoked in 2016, I’d been out of prison for four-and-half years, completed my license,  worked with the community and was genuinely moving forward with my life.”

Ace played a stripper called Rowan on EastEnders in 2017. He has also had roles in Blade of the Assassin, Brotherhood and New Blood.
