ADAM Woodyatt has been lined up to appear in Cheryl’s West End show, 2:22.

The 54-year-old former EastEnders actor could be set to make a transfer to the theatre district.

Former EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt is reportedly being lined up to star in 2:22: A Ghost Story

Cheryl has received critical acclaim for her role as Jenny in the West End Thriller

Former X Factor Judge Cheryl, 39, is currently starring in 2:22 A Ghost Story at London’s Lyric Theatre.

She’s received critical acclaim for her role as Jenny, alongside alongside Adam‘s former soap colleague Jake Wood, 50, who stars as Ben in the show.

And a show insider admitted that the actor would be quite the coup for bosses to secure.

They told The Mirror: “Adam really fancies another stage play. He’s loved treading the boards with My Fair Lady, which ends in April, and 2:22 Ghost Story is a potential fit.”

Adam starred in the serial drama from the inception of the long-running soap in February 1985.

Playing the character of Ian Beale for 36 years, the door has been left for him to make a return.

Although he made a surprise return this year at Dot Cotton’s funeral, he is currently touring the UK as Alfred Doolittle in a production of My Fair Lady.

He departed the BBC programme in 2021 to pursue other opportunities whilst Jake has played the character of Max Branning from 2006.

And Jake recently admitted his thoughts on the show as he thinks Adam would be good fit for the London production.

He revealed: “Ian would be fabulous in 2:22. He has said to me he’d love to do it and hopefully, he’ll get his turn.

“It’s such a fun one to do. It’s quite a remarkable play – probably the best I’ve ever read or been in.

“The fact they can reinvent it with new cast means people will come back again and again.”
