BRIAN Conley has said he wants to join the judges panel of Britain’s Got Talent following his stint on EastEnders.

The actor made his debut on the BBC soap this week as Terry Cant, Sonia’s estranged father, and wasted no time making his presence known thanks to a run-in with Rainie and getting into a row with Sonia at Ruby’s club.

Brian’s character Terry crash landed into EastEnders on Tuesday

But unfortunately it seems his eccentric character is only on the show for a short while, and all-round entertainer Brian has already set his sights on a BGT judges chair.

The actor told Daily Star: “Is it true I would love to be a judge on Britain’s Got Talent? I think I could contribute to that just because of all the things I have done in the business.

“I also did a show on BBC Two years ago called Let Me Entertain You and that was way before Britain’s Got Talent.

“I love nurturing talent.”

Britains Got Talent has been postponed until next year

Throughout his career, Brian has proven to be up for giving anything a go – being a TV presenter, West End performer, singer stand-up comedian and regular face at panto.

He even appeared on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2017.

He already has some connection to the BGT panel, having previously worked with Amanda Holden in 90s sitcom The Grimleys.

Britain’s Got Talent has been put on hold this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and is due for an early return in 2022.

Chancer Terry has already been ruffling feathers just minutes into getting on the Square.

Which gives Brian plenty of time to make his case to Simon Cowell, and to wind up his spot as Terry Cant.

Terry has only been on screen a few minutes but is already making waves, thanks to a hilarious interaction with Sonia in Ruby’s bar.

With neither realising they were related, they ended up clashing as he stepped in to defend Dotty Cotton from an earful from Sonia.

Sonia ended up calling him an ‘old perv’ as she berated Dotty for being a hostess.

Naturally things got embarrassing moments later when she was winding down in the Vic, and ducked under a table to hide from him.

It was then he revealed he was in Walford for her… because he was her long lost dad.
