SONIA Fowler took on a new lodger in her home to help out her finances.
The nurse later welcomed Jed, a newcomer who made EastEnders fans swoon as some recognised him immediately.

After finding out she could become homeless, Sonia (portrayed by Natalie Cassidy) showed Jed around her house as a prospective house mate during a recent trip to Walford.
BBC One viewers were flustered over the new arrival… and some even recognised the newbie as a VERY familiar hunk.
Jed is played by West End actor Bradley Jaden, known for his performance in Les Misérables.
Some fans were stunned when they spotted him making his debut last night.
“Weird to think I saw Jed in Les Mis as Javert”, one viewer commented.
And while some recognised him, a multitude of soap fans were too distracted by his good looks to figure out whether they’d seen him before.
“Can Sonia give her new lodger, Jed, a very long term lease please?”, on of them quipped as another agreed: “Ooh hello who’s Sonia’s new lodger.”
A third soap fan chimed in: “Oooof Sonia – we like Jed. Give him the room. Jed looks like an ideal lodger.”
“Hello Bradley Jaden Sonia’s eyes lit up”, another viewer commented and a fifth concluded: “Jed is fit.”
Regular theatre performer Bradley is best-known for being part of the cast of Les Misérables: The Staged Concert at Sondheim Theatre.
But this hasn’t been his only stint in the spotlight.
Bradley has portrayed Fiyero in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, but also appeared in Ghost the Musical on UK Tour and Shrek The Musical at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
He was also picked out for the role of Enjolras in the Staged Concert at the Gielgud Theatre in 2019.
A handful of viewers may also recognise him from a short stint in Emmerdale (where his ex-fiancée Amy Walsh also settled in), and a brief appearance in Britain’s Got Talent.
But when it comes to his future in the Square, the mystery will only slowly be unravelled.
Viewers believe they’ve rumbled a potential throuple storyline involving Jed, Sonia and Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
